SG1: Meaningful Indigenous People Collectivity and Connectivity
Objective
To ensure the active participation and leadership of indigenous communities in land planning and biodiversity conservation efforts through collective grassroot alliances and connectivity.
Actions
1) Establish participatory platforms for indigenous groups to voice their needs and priorities.
2) Facilitate regular community meetings and workshops to foster collective decision-making.
3) Develop collaborative networks among indigenous communities, conservation organizations, and government bodies.
4) Promote the use of indigenous knowledge in environmental management practices.
SG2: Indigenous-led Conservation of Endangered Beisa Oryx and Other Threatened Antelopes
Objective
To support and enhance indigenous-led initiatives aimed at conserving the Beisa Oryx and other threatened antelope species.
Actions
1) Implement community-based monitoring programs utilizing citizen science tools.
2) Provide training for indigenous communities in wildlife tracking, data collection, and analysis.
3) Develop and support breeding and habitat restoration programs led by indigenous communities.

To protect dryland Acacia forests while ensuring the rights and livelihoods of local communities are respected and enhanced.

Objective
To address climate change impacts in a manner that is equitable and just for indigenous and local communities through Social Development & Eco-enterprise
Actions
1) Address climate change impacts and promote social development as integral components of conservation.
2) Advocate for climate policies that recognize and integrate indigenous rights and traditional knowledge.
3) Support indigenous-led climate adaptation and mitigation projects.
4) Promote renewable energy initiatives and sustainable agricultural practices within communities.
5) Ensure fair representation of indigenous voices in national and international climate forums.
6) Implement climate adaptation programs, promote renewable energy solutions, and advocate for climate justice.
SG5. Land Tenure, Rights, and Impactful Carbon Management
Objective
To secure land tenure and rights for indigenous communities and implement carbon management strategies that benefit both people and ecosystems.
Actions
1) Facilitate legal recognition and documentation of indigenous land ownership and usage rights.
2) Develop community-led carbon sequestration projects, such as afforestation and soil carbon enhancement.
3) Create transparent and equitable frameworks for carbon credit trading that prioritize community benefits.
4) Monitor and report on the impacts of carbon management projects on biodiversity and community well-being.
